Crisp (not at all sweet), refreshing and bursting with citrus, lychee and white floral aromatics. Sustainable farming, native fermentation in stainless and cellared cold to preserve a touch of natural spritz. It’s named after our grower, mentor and co-winemaker, Eckehart Groehl, who has been pioneering quality and innovation in the Rheinhessen region for over 3 decades.
This wine is from the Church Hill Vineyard, located on the steep slopes alongside the Rhein River in the ancient Roman village of Nierstein. Romans carved out the landscape and planted the first vines here centuries ago. A cool/mild climate, crumbling red slate and rifts of limestone give bright fruit, minerality, and a slight salinity to the wine.
