Enotap is a Providence based company that was founded by James Davids and Marissa Stashenko in 2018. We are a small family business that is focused on wine on tap. We provide draft solutions for wine, keg filling services, and we also make our own wine under our label 'Anchor & Hope'. Our mission is to provide the end consumer with the best glass of wine possible, and to do our part to save the environment.
We are passionate about wine on tap for restaurants 'by the glass' programs (and for events) because kegs are so much better for the environment, they keep the wine fresh for longer, and are more economical and efficient for everyone involved. Wine on tap has been around for decades and is growing in popularity and availability across the country, yet wine keg distribution in Rhode Island (and the northeast in general) is limited in both variety and quality.
Co-founder James Davids has worked as a winemaker and brewer for various wineries/breweries all over the world for the past 20 years -- hence the extensive knowledge of both wine and draft systems. James ran his own winery out in San Francisco for 10 years, and initially was against putting his wine in keg, but was convinced because his largest customers were demanding it.
Don't get us wrong, we still love wine in bottle too! Anchor & Hope is available in bottle as well. We aren't trying to replace bottled wine, but it makes economical and environmental sense for restaurants to serve wine by the glass from a tap.
